A 40-YEAR HISTORY

Our journey has been marked by a sense of initiative, by investment, persistence and resilience, by the enterprising and bold profile of our partners and by the remarkable strategic vision of all the players involved.
The values of José Faustino and José Balbino have withstood time and are still today the pillars and the major reference for the conduct of the entire team. Confident that their legacy will endure time, they have been handing over their knowledge to the family’s second generation, who are learning the secrets of the trade and developing the necessary skills to lead the company into the future.

IN 1980, A DREAM CAME TRUE, WHEN CONSTRUCTION BEGAN ON THE FACHO FACILITIES.

The first years were spent selling wood by-products and components for the furniture industry, and it was only 6 years later that the production process began with Wood Veneer Edge Banding.
We now have a wide range of products to meet the demands of an increasingly discerning and competitive market. Besides producing veneer-faced boards, veneers, edge banding and sandwich panels, we also represent brands of plywood, flooring, laminates, melamine, solid wood, acoustic panels and other components. The sale of wood by-products and components for the furniture industry represents around 70% of turnover, the remaining 30% encompassing the sale of wood veneers that are unprocessed and without processing activities.

Closure of the Leiria and Mangualde warehouses and the withdrawal of partners .

Start up in the Facho facilities.

Admission of new partners.

Beginning of the production of Edgebanding

Beginning of the production of Spliced veneer.

1999

Inauguration of the Sabugo warehouse.

2000

Inauguration of the Casal da Areia warehouse.

2001

Certification ISO 9001 - TÜV Portugal.

2007

Opening of the Estoi warehouse.

2012

Chain of Custody (CoC) certification under the FSC® and PEFC regimes.

Opening of the warehouse in Leiria.

2013

Move to the new facilities in Frazão - Paços de Ferreira.

2018

Opening of the warehouse in Castelo Branco.

2020
